Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): TroyBily Bronco wont start, briggs and stratton, fly wheel

Question
Hi,

I have a 1yr old troybilt bronco with a briggs and stratton engine.  I started it up after the winter and cut the grass a few times this season.  Yesterday I tried to start it and it turned over once and locked up.  Now I hear the starter trying to go but it won't turn.  Oil level is ok and I changed it before the season started.  There is gas in the air filter and a smell of gas everywhere but I don't see a leak. I tried to turn the fly wheel by hand and I hear pressure releasing from somewhere. Any suggestions would be a great help.

Answer
 Hello Glen:

Have you removed the Spark Plug and checked for a Hydro Locked Cylinder? The Carb Float may have allowed the gas to flood the Cylinder. Also check the Oil for Gas being in it Also. Let me know what you find. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
