Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): TECUMSEH, go cart, fuel tank

HI, i JUST GOT A GO CART FOR THE KIDS WITH A TECUMSEH POWERSPORT MODEL OHH60 71212D MOTOR, 6HP  196CC       WHILE DRIVING IT SEEMS TO BOG DOWN AND ALMOST SPUTTER OUT BUT THEN REGAINS POWER- MOSTLY OVER BUMPS AND MAYBE RIGHT TURNS MORE THAN LEFT- WHAT CAN YOU RECOMMEND?  THANKS

 Hello Luke:

 Does this happen with the Fuel Tank full? If it doesnt, Check the Fuel Tank. There should be a Foam Insert in the Tank to keep the gas from moving around curves and jumps.
The gas will move away from the pickup tube if the Foam Insert isnt there.  Hope this Helps.
