Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Gas Weed Wacker, craftsman weed wacker, clutch assembly

Question
I have a craftsman weed wacker with all of the attatchments. The line used to pull start will not retract. I am trying to fix this myself and have all of the allen screws undone. You have to take off the  housing but I cannot due to the clutch assembly. On the assembly it says hold to turn nut. When you turn the not the whole thing moves. Do I need a gear puller to take this part off to remove the housing or something? Thanks!

Answer
 Hello Brandon:

I have a Special Tool to assist in removing the Assembly. Without this tool the Weed Wacker is the Hardest Trimmer to Replace the Starter Spring and Cord. I know this doesnt help, but for a Homeowner I suggest the Weed Wacker Trimmers go to the Shop for this Repair.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
