Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman riding lawn mower wont start, craftsman riding lawn mower, briggs and stratton

Question
Hello.  I have a 15.5 HP Craftsman rider with a 42' deck.  Auto transmission, OHV Briggs and Stratton engine.  I was mowing on a hill in my back yard and got stuck.  I turned off the mower, and disengaged the pin in back, and pushed it back up the hill.  I figured it might be flooded, so I waited about 30 minutes before I tried to restart.  Now, it won't even turn over.  Everything is disengaged (mower deck, blades, etc), and the pin in back is pushed in so I can drive.  The sparkplug looks fine, and there is plenty of fuel.  Any Suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Brian:

Remove the Spark Plug. See if Oil runs out of the cylinder. If so, this is the problem. When you shut off the Mower on the Hill it allowed Oil to Sit against the Rings and Oil seeped by them and into the Compression Chamber creating a Hydraulic Lock. Hope this Helps. If not let me know.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
