Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): McCulloch WeedEater, weed eater, model number

Question
Hey John, I hope all is well. I was trying to start my McCulloch weed eater today and the first pull on the cord would feel and sound normal but each pull directly after that would have more resistance and would make a weird clicking noise. Today would have been only the 4th time it was used. It was a gift so returning the machine maybe a hassle in comparison to a quick fix. Can you tell me what I should do to fix the problem? Thank you for your time and have a great day!

Answer
 Hello Marc:

There are Several Possibilities for this. If you are not one to usually make Repairs, then this Trimmer needs to go to the Repair Shop. If you want to Attempt the Diagnostic and then the Repairs, Contact me with the Model # of the Trimmer and we can Start with the Diagnostic First. Any time you contact a Repair Shop or Talk to a Mechanic; Please Give the Make and Model Number.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
