Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): troy-built cultivator, speed jet, tines

Question
When I engage the tines on my Troy- built cultivator, the engine wants to cut out.  It starts fine and runs good until I do that.  The only adjustment I see is a screw that if you turn it one way the tines will turn without engaging them or the other way and the engine boggs down. Adjusting this has not helped. Any thoughts on what to do. I have used this cultivator for maybe 1 hour, 2 years ago. So it is practically brand new.  Thanks for any advice.

Answer
 Hello Kirk:

The problem sounds like the High Speed Jet inside the Carb has Trash in it. Remove the Carb and Clean and Rebuild it. If the Carb is Properly Cleaned and Rebuilt, you will no longer have this problem.

 Good Luck
