Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower will not start, john deer tractor, new spark

Question
I have a old John Deer tractor. To start for first time this season we had to charge the battery and it started fine. The next time it started up and was restarted several times while cutting. It ran out of gas and was left out in the rain. After putting in gas it would not start. The battery was dead so we took it out and charged it, after putting it back in it would not start. It does nothing. Do you think it is something other than the battery?

Answer
 Hello Teresa:

No Problem here.  1- Have Carb Cleaned and Rebuilt. 2- Change the Oil. 3- New Spark Plug. 4- Clean Air Filter. 5-If this Unit has External Point Set then Replace. The Carb is a Very Good Cause of your Problem. Then the External Points Set. The Others are Needed but are not Required to make this Unit run again. If you need decide to make the Repairs. Feel free to Ask for Assistance.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
