Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): weed eaters, featherlite weedeater, money miser

Question
where do you put in the oil in the weedeater, or how do check it for that matter, is the little orange nob?, i have a featherlite weedeater.  its old and been leaking oil.  i should get a new one, but i'm a money miser and its just the right size for me.

Answer
 Hello Tracy

The Oil is added to the Gas BEFORE IT IS PUT INTO THE FUEL TANK. The reason I say it that way is because if Not Mixed Properly or Straight Gas is used you will DAMAGE the Weedeater Beyond Repair.  If you have Run Regular Gas in this unit and it is still running; you are Lucky.  The Mixing Instructions are Located on the Side Panel of the 2 Cycle Oil that you must Purchase from any Parts Supply Store. ie Advance  NAPA ect.

The Oil leaking is fairly common when the Oil mixture is a little rich but is not a worry. Simply increase the amount of gas to the oil ratio and it will stop.  I would suggest if the unit runns good and the Oil is all that is wrong with it. Dont Change the Gas to Oil Ratio.

 Good Luck
