I have a weedeater fl 20 cc I bought last year, after using it one time, I tried to pull start it, and the string will not pull out...I took it apart, and seems the screw that hold the end of the string to the spool is hitting the two metal things that they face when assembled...the metal things move .can you help please

Answer -
Jenny, what you're seeing is the clutch dogs that engage the pull start.  I'm more concerned about the engine at this point.  Even if the clutch dogs were stuck in the engaged position by the string fastener the engine should have turned over, leaving the string pulled out.  Its possible the thing started in this position and counter-wrapped the string back up again til it locked down the motor.  Did it "almost" crank up just before this situation?  What is the mixture of oil to gas you're using?
Answer -
OK Jenny - lets try to isolate the problem.  Can you take out the spark plug and rotate the engine manually?  It may be that the clutch has failed in sucha  way as to lock down the motor.

Answer
Jenny - bummer to hear, It may be best at this point to consider a new weedeater (unfortunately- sounds like the engine locked up).  They get cheAPER all the time (made that is).  Is you place so big that you can't run an electric or cordless?  They're lots less trouble.

If you've had it less than a year some warranties are still good - depending on where you got it.
