Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Spark, toro ccr2000, suzuki engine

Have a Toro CCR2000 snowblower. It has no spark........The engine is a 47PR4 407271 Suzuki engine.the unit Model 38180 5904198 . To check the coil......check for continuity on both sides.........if ok coil ok? the trigger unit.....is there a way to test it ?

Unfortunately I've had very little success checking the trigger units.  Even when tests from manuals said they were working I've had some not work.  VERY AGGRAVATING!

Are the mounting points clean from corrosion?  Do you know anyone who may have a similar blower.

I wish I had a better answer but I have learned not to trust some of those early generation trigger modules...they've cost me lots of money and customers.
