Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Adding a fuel pump to Kloher 16 hp engine, craftsman lawn tractor, hp engine

I have a two year old Craftsman lawn tractor. It has a Kolher 16 hp engine. When I purchased it my yard was very level.  I purchased a new home with a level lot but it has a small portion that has a slope on it.  When I cut the slope the engine stops because the fuel will not flow from the tank to the engine.  Can I install an electic fuel pump on this engine.  If so what type?  Where do I install the pump? in front of the fuel filter or behind it?

Does the mower stall out even with a full tank of fuel?

Many of the bigger tractor engines have a fuel pump...maybe yours is not working correctly.

What is the model number of the mower?
Let me know and I will check if it has a fuel pump.
