Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): engine for go cart, orfice, diaphragm

Question
Hi. My husband is having a real hard time trying to keep this go cart from stalling out. He knows it is the carb but he has taken it apart and forced air cleaned it. The go cart was sitting for about 3 years outside. But he cleaned it let it sit for like 3 days and forced air through it. It won't stay running. All I know is that it has a carb attached to the top of the engine in the back of the go cart. Can you help? Or is this question to vague? Help!!!!

Christine

Answer
Most likely the problem is still in the carb.  When engines sit, especially with old fuel in them, the carbs can really gum up.  Most likely there is a small orfice still plugged up inside the carb.

How old is the engine?  What size is the engine?
If the carb has a diaphragm did he replace the diaphragm?
Let me know.
