Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Firing problem, briggs and stratton, air gap

Question
I have a Briggs and Stratton Model 19E412 does not get spark at plug.  Oil level OK.  How do I tesst the coil?

Answer
You cannot test this type of ignition module.  All you can do is remove all of the shut-off leads from the main terminal on the engine, check the air gap between the coil and flywheel is 0.010" and check for spark.  If you have no spark, the ignition module is defective and should be replaced.  Hope this helps.
