Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 6.0 pushmower wont stay running, briggs stratton, poor workmanship

Question
We have a craftsman 6.0 Briggs & Stratton push mower. We had service done to it last month which included replacing the spark plug, cables for safety lever & throttle & a general tune up. Now it will start fine and will run for about 10 minutes and then it starts to putter and dies. If you reprime it, it will start back up again. Can you tell me what would be causing this to happen?

Answer
If it was running OK and all of the sudden developed this condition, I would suggest there is debris inside the carb.  If you just had it serviced a month ago, you should take it back as a general tune-up should include an inspection of the fuel system.  Check your gas can at home for debris before you start blaming the servicing facility for poor workmanship though.  Hope this helps.
