Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawnboy lawnmower/ oil change, oil drain plug, bottom pan

I have a Lawnboy Medallion lawnmower and want to change the oil but cannot find the oil drain plug. It has a 6 hp 4 cycle overhead cam engine. I looked at the bottom of the mower but do not see anything that looks like an oil drain plug. Do I have to remove the blade and the bottom pan before I can find the oil drain plug?

Hi Ken,

I'm not sure on your model but some mowers do require removal of a cover from the underside of the deck.  On a few Honda's, I have found it easier to tip the mower to the side of the filler tube and drain the oil through there.
