Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Leaf blower, straight gas, cylinder sleeve

Filled it up with straight gas (no oil mixed in).
Ran for about 4-5 minutes and seized up.

Is there any hope of ever getting it to run again, or are the piston rings welded to the cylinder sleeve?

Hi Dorsey,

It's hard to say what damage has been done.  You could try removing the engine head and tapping the piston with a wooden block and a hammer to free it.  Maybe it would run if the damage is not too severe.  If the trimmer is old I would not bother and would replace it.
