Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Snowblower, craftsman snowblower, weight oil

Question
I have a 5hp craftsman snowblower that has been a champ for the past several years, until now. It starts fine, runs well and then suddenly will stop for no apparent reason. I cannot restart because the pull start will not pull out and the electrical start won't turn it over (just that electrical overload sound). If I let it sit for a while all is well. Do I need an exorcist or can you help? I did replace the spark plug and the gas is fresh.

Answer
Hi Mark,

The exorcist idea sounds good.  We might need one.  The only thing I can think of that would cause the engine to stall and not turn over, would be if it starts to seize.  Maybe from overheating.  How is the oil level?  Is it full of the correct weight oil?  Is something else freezing up or stuck, after the crankshaft?

Stumped,
Michael
