I just got an old Murray 22 In. push lawnmower with a Briggs and Stratton Sprint 3.75 HSP motor and I cant get it to start.  I want to tinker with it but do not know what to look for.  It will not start and I dont know what to look or replace.  Can you point me somewhere online or tell me what ot look for?  Thanks!

The most likely problem is it has also been sitting with fuel in it (perhaps even long since dried out) that will have plugged the carb with varnish.  Squirt a small amount of fuel directly in the carb and try starting.  If it goes and dies, the carb will need the attention.  If you get nothing, remove the spark plug and check for spark.  If you have no spark, you will need to inspect the ignition system.  Hope this gets you started.  Let me know if you need further assistance.
