Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mariner 4 HP fuel Starvation ???, hp mariner, fuel starvation

Question
I have a 4 hp Mariner that appears to have a fuel blockage . It is doing every thing explained on your start up web page .
I have stripped the carby twice , probed all the galleries with fine wire, but to no avail . If you put it under load its worse and if you tap the air passage opening on the front of the housing it will pick up .
Any info at all would be greatly appreciated .

Answer
Hi Bob,

An engine having a problem under a load, sometimes does indicate a lack of fuel flow.  If you can't find any blockage, then the carb may just be defective.  Give it a final look over if you want.  Sometimes they just can't be repaired and must be replaced.

Good Luck,
Michael
