Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro 521 snowblower, fly wheel, going to the library

I recently purchased a used Toro 521. I made it through one snowstorm and now it won't start.  I think it might be a problem with the fly wheel.  I am fairly handy and planned on going to the library to see what I could find out.  If you pull on the cord to start it it doesn't engage--neither does the electric start.

It sounds like, perhaps, a sheared flywheel key.  Remove the starter housing and visually inspect.  If this has occured, the fix is relatively simple but you will need to take the numbers from the engine into the dealer to get the correct flywheel key.  Hope this helps.
