Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): winterizing, turkey baster, fuel stabilizer

i was wondering how should i winterize my weed trimmers and my lawnmower.  what are the proper steps to winterize these items?

The best thing you can do is purchase new fuel, add some fuel stabilizer to the new fuel and then add to your equipment.  

If you already use stabilizer then there is no need to drain the old fuel.  If you haven't been using stabilizer then drain as much of the old fuel with a turkey baster or siphon hose, refill with stabilized fuel and run equimpment for about 15 minutes.

I would also clean/replace the air filter and spark plug.  On the mower I'd change and refill with fresh oil that way you'll be ready to go next spring.
