this an older moped/scooter so there could be anything wrong with it but it will only go when you have it on half choke and even when its warmed up it won't go if u take it off. whats wrong with it?

Hi Greg,

I suspect a lack of fuel flow to the engine.  Try to get it to run with the choke off, by squirting fuel or starting fluid into the carb intake.  If it runs, then the carb most likely has dirt, debris or gummed fuel inside.  You will need to remove the carb, disassemble it, clean all the small internal openings and blow it out with compressed air.   Probe each and every hole with a small wire.  A carb rebuild kit wouldn't hurt either but may be hard to find depending on make and year.
