Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): engine wont start, spark plug wire, auto motive

-------------------------thanks for your help I got the engine running and it runs great in idle but.... when I put it on full throttle it run for a few seconds then it dies out can you help please

I have a b&s vanguard engine 18hp it wont start I took the pugs out and put the spark plug wire back on the plug and grounded it and theres no spark. any advise thank you

The spark plug wir may be corroded. Replace it with auto motive spark plug wire and its should run fine.

What you know have to do is clean out the carburetor. To do this soak the carb in gasoline for about an hour or two. Then take a pipe cleaner and run it through every hole in the carb. Re-soak the carb in fresh gasoline again for 30 mins and re-install. It should run great. Hope this helps. Let me know how it works out.
