Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite string trimmer, broken pull cord, homelite string trimmer, clutch assembly

Question
I have a homelite string trimmer that needs repair.  I cannot find the model number anywhere on the unit.  I found a UT number, 15159R.  Also, on the owner's manual, what looked like it might be a part number, BC2500R.

My problem is this.  The pull rope has broken, and receded into the housing.  I have taken all of the screws out of the housing, the long shaft is now off, so all of the housing pieces are either off or loose.  However, the clutch assembly (or what I assume is the clutch assembly) will not come off.  So the piece of the housing that contains the pull cord is stuck in place.

What tools and/or techniques do I need to get the clutch assembly off so that I can get to the pull cord?

You may tell me that it is not worth the trouble, and if so, I accept you opinion.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Answer
It takes a special wrench to loosen the "S" clutch so it can be removed.  I recommend you take it into a good shop to have the repair completed.  As for if it's worthwhile, that depends on the condition of the trimmer.  These Homelites are solid, reliable units so I would fix it assuming that it is in good condition.  Hope this helps.
