i have a generator with a Tecumseh OHh60 and it runs but will not rev up. i have cleaned the carb but can not get it to rev up. when i try it stays at the same level itle. i can't get it to run fast to generate power

is the governor holding the carb open or not. does the butterfly open up.


Yes, i have open the butterfly open and it still will not rev. i also removed the governor and still will not rev?

ive only had a problem like this one once before and the butterfly came off the shaft in the carb and was stuck in the intake effectively closing it off have you removed the carb at all or not

Yes, I cleaned it. the butterfly is working well. Now i see that Gas is spiting from the carb when it is running. do you think it is carb or intake valve?

have you checked the flywheel key to make sure it hasnt been sheared? you also said its a generator make sure there is no load on it also,and you may want to try disconnecting the kill wire from the module. i dont beleive its the carb and the valve normally wont do this, im more inclined to beleive its a problem with the ignition system
