Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Weed Eater Starting Problems, internal passages, weed eater

I have a Ryobi Weed Eater.  I have to alternate between full choke and half choke about 15 pulls before it will stay running on half choke for any length of time.  It will not run with no choke and doesn't seem to have power when running on half choke.

If it is difficult to start and will only run with the choke on or part-way on, there is a blockage inside the carb or it requires an adjustment to the mixture screws.  Start both mixture screws (side by side screws on the carb) at 1 1/2 turns out from lightly seated.  If there is no change by adjusting these, there is a blockage inside the carb and it will need to be cleaned thoroughly, including pushing a piece of tag wire through all of the internal passages followed by aerosol carb cleaner.  Hope this helps.
