Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 5.5 Lawnmower Carborator, briggs stratton, proper orientation

Question
My brother in law just switched carborators from one lawnmower to another.... the lawnmower starts but the idoling/choke is not working.  He did not look to see how the springs/wires were attached when taking the carbs off and thinks that is the problem as the red lever is not doing anything when moved.  Is there a diagram somewhere of the carb. and the wire/springs?
(Yes, i am a girl so if i am wording this incorrectly forgive me :-) )

Answer
The best thing is to obtain a parts diagram for the engine itself.  You can do this by contacting either Sears or the engine manufacturer (Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, etc.)  This will show the proper orientation of the governor spring and rods.  Hope this helps.
