Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Fuel Line Installation, craftsman model, hp kohler

Question
I have a Craftsman model 917.251490 lawn tractor (18.5 hp Kohler twin, 46" cut) that I'm trying to install a new fuel line on.  The line runs through a box-shaped frame to the fuel tank in the rear of the tractor, under the seat.  I can't figure out how to get to the fuel tank end of the line, short of flipping the thing over on its side!  I suspect that would be bad for it... any suggestions?  I have the new line installed at the carb.
Thank you

Answer
You may be able to jack the mower high enough to access the tank or it may be eaiser to remove the back frame cap or the fenders.

The manual doesn't say anything about having to remove any parts but I remember an older mower with a similar setup and we always took the seat/fender assembly off. It was actually very fast using air tools.

Let me know what you decide to do.
