Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): weedeater wont start, weed eater, craftsman

I bought a weed eater from an auction(craftsman gas 25cc) and they told me it was brand new and that only issue with it was that the coil  on the draw cord was broken and not retracting. Well, I took care of that and now cannot get it to run.

You are going to have to determine what the problem is by first squirting a little fuel into the carb to see if will start.  If it tries to start, the problem is with the carb (will need to be cleaned thoroughly).  If it doesn't want to start, check for spark.  If it is new, I suspect it may have been run and had the fuel left in it.  Hope this helps.
