Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Problems, pipe cleaner, pipe cleaners

My honda sp mower will back fire then quit.It will start again and run a few mins. then do it again.I have replced the fuel,filter and oil. Can you give me some advise on how to repair my mower. Thanks     Model #HRR2162SDA   Ser.#MZCG-6802929

Hey Paul,
If the mower quits when you started it a second <a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=time&v=56">time</a> but backfires the first <a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=time&v=56">time</a>, this looks like a carburetor problem. What you have to do is take the carb appart get a wire pipe cleaner and run the pipe cleaner through every hole of the carb. Then get compressed air and blow out all the small holes. If you would like you can contiuousy pour gasoline through the carb when disassembled. Reassemble everything and reinstall the carb and add fresh fuel.Try starting it. If there is nothing then take out the spark plug and examine it. If it looks black and chared replace it. Let me know how this works out! Good luck. P.S.
