Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Golf cart governor, ingersol rand, carryall

how do I take off the governor on my "Ingersol-rand Carryall 6"? If there isn't one, how do I make it faster?

Hi Al,

I'm not familiar with the exact set up of your engine or golf car.  The governor may be required for smooth operation but you may be able to adjust it for more speed. You can try adjusting the governor lever that attaches to the carb linkage.  Mark its present setting and go from there.  Set it so that it doesn't back off the throttle as much.  
The only way I can think of for more significant power is to replace the engine with a bigger one.
