Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S 6.0 HP/Murray Pull Start & Stuck in Fast Idle, spring tension, hp engine

I have a Murry 22" Mulch & Side mower with a B&S 6.0 hp engine. I pull start the engine, it starts right up, but now its at a fast idle. Feels like a piston is going to come through the head. I rebuilt the carb, not many parts there. Replaced the spring on top of the carb that helps control the butterfly in the carb (not sure what it called). Still starting and running fast. Any ideas? Matt, it sounds as if the governor spring is attached incorrectly. Make sure there is LESS tension on the spring as the throttle is brought to idle. If the spring tension  is strong at both idle and high speed throttle position, there is something wrong.You will have to reference the service mamual or see a briggs dealer.......BOL   BOB
