Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda 5.5 hp ran, but dies after repair, honda pressure washer, half tank

Question
I have a Honda Pressure Washer that was just in for repair from failing to start after being neglected for 3 years.  The shop cleaned out the carburetor and got it running.  I got the machine home and it started up just fine and was working great.  After about an hour the engine RPM started to drop as did the pressure.  If I stopped spraying the pressure went up for a while, but immediately dropped again once I started working.  The engine continued to cough and sputter abit before finally dying.  I figured it had run out of gas, but it had a good half tank.  I put more fresh gas in, but it will not start.  The shop is closed and I'd like to get back to work asap.  Do you have any suggestions for a neophyte?

Answer
Hi Jeff,

It sounds like the same problem.  There most likely was dirt, debris or gummed fuel in the carb.  They  may have gotten most of it but a piece may have dislodged and caused a lack of fuel flow again.  You could try adjusting the carbs' mixture screws to get you by but the shop should make their repair right.

Let me know how you make out.

Good Luck,
Michael
