Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower wont start, fuel flow, lawn mower

Question
My Ryobi lawn mower 3 y.o. will now not start when I pull rope.  I prime it-it revs but doesn't start-any suggestions

Answer
Hi Paul,

It sounds like a lack of fuel flow to the engine.
Try to keep it running by squirting fuel or starting fluid into the carb intake.  If you can keep it going, then the carb most likely has dirt, debris, gummed fuel or water inside.  You will need to remove the carb, disassemble it, clean all the small internal openings and blow it out with compressed air.

Let me know how you make out.
