Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Weedeater motor, weedeaters, jets

Question
I have one of those featherlite weedeaters and I can only get it started with the choke in "off" position (wide open,) and the throttle trigger fully depressed.  It takes a herculean amount of pulling to start it.  When it starts, it will only stay running if kept at very high RPM's.  If I try and idle, it dies quickly.  Seems like maybe it is getting flooded, but I've never owned one of these before, so I do not really know how much gas should be in the thing.  Any suggestions?

Answer
DAVID, THESE THINGS CAN REALLY BE A PAIN.  IS IT NEW?  IF IT IS RETURN IT.  IF IT IS NOT THEN WELL...I GUESS I'M TRYING TO SAY YOU GET WHAT YA PAY FOR IN THIS CASE.  WHAT IS WRONG HERE IS THE JETS ARE PLUGGED IN THE CARB AND WILL REQUIRE PULLING THE CARB FOR CLEANING AND IT MOST LIKELY WILL REQUIRE THIS AT THE START OF EVERY SEASON.

GOOD LUCK,
GEORGE
