what do you reconmend i do? from start ,change oil ? and which? mixing starting fluid with gas? get better plug? please help!!!!

Hi Josh,

If it only runs when you add staring fluid to the carb, then there is a lack of fuel flow to the engine.  First try adjusting the carb mixture screws.  If that doesn't help, I then would suspect dirt, debris, water or gummed fuel in the carb.  You will need to remove the carb, disassemble it, clean all the small openings and blow it out with compressed air.

Let me know how you make out.

Answer
Hi Josh,

Each and every carb opening must be clean.  Sometimes a small wire is needed to open them.
You can add a metal tab to ground the spark plug boot but without a battery ignition there are probably no wires that can be grounded, for use as a kill switch.
