Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn mower, fuel cap, lawn mower

Question
my walk behind mower was working fine 2 weeks ago, i
skipped  mowing last weekend, but this weekend i tried to
start it and it starts on the 1st pull then dies after 2 or so
seconds, if you try to start it again right away...no go, if you
wait 10 or so seconds it will start 1st pull then dies after 2
or so seconds...any suggestions?

Answer
Try this first.  Loosen off the fuel cap a little and try starting.  If the vent in the cap is plugged, this should correct it.  Replace or clean the cap if this is the problem.  Otherwise, the carb may have picked up some debris.  You will need to thoroughly clean the carb and tank.  Make sure to also check your gas can for debris too.  Hope this helps.
