Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower starts, runs about a minute and cuts off, wheel horse, hp engine

I have a Wheel Horse lawn mower with a Kohler 12 HP engine, Model K301S, Spec 47812, Ser # 15026808. It has a new carburator, fuel pump,and fuel lines so I don't think fuel is the problem. It starts easily and will run about a minute or so and then just cut off. It appears to be getting plenty of fuel to the carburator. Could this be an ignition problem such as the coil or points? Any help is appreciated.

It is a possibility there is an issue with the ignition system related to heat / time.  Before you tackle the ignition, try this first.  Loosen off the fuel cap to let the tank vent completely.  If this solves the problem, you will need to replace the gas cap or clean the vent in it.  This is a common issue.  Otherwise, you should start by replacing the points and condensor (sort of a maintenance item anyhow) and proceed from there.  If it still has the same symptoms after replacing the points and condensor, you may need to consider having the coil tested at a good shop.  Let me know what you find and write back if you need more help.  Hope this helps.
