I have a Bolen's 1668 lawn tractor.  The main wiring harness (part no. 1750846) has apparently fused and the tractor will no longer start. Do you know where I can find such a part (Bolen's is out of business) or whether there is a comparable part out there that could work with this model.  Otherwise, the engine, deck etc. all in good condition.  The model is 16 years old, but is still a solid performer.
Thanks

Nick,, other than canvasing all the L&G dealers, I found a website that shows wire diagrams for tractors. If it is a fuse harness, any tractor system can work. Let me know what what you find....bob

Bob,
Thanks, but I don't believe that it is a fuse harness.  I have been told that all the electrical components relating to the tractor are wired into a unique "plug" which then plugs into the ignition switch.  So, the battery, lights, alternator etc all come together and attach to this 3 pronged plug which is then pugged into the ignition.  Apparently turning the ignition switch then closes the circuits in the proper sequence to activate the engine, lights etc.  So, is Bolen's unique in this design?  And if so, where can I find the part?  Thanks again for taking the time.
Nick

Answer
Nick,No , bolens is not unique to this system. First , what kind of engine is it? Briggs, Techumseh?  Most electrical systems are generic. A "magneto" key switch are all the same for starting an engine. You do not need a special "plug" but only wires with female spade terminals to attach to the spade on the keyswitch. one spade is "batt", the seconed is "s" solenoid, the third is "acc" for lights if you got em. Anyway, a basic wireing diageram will work ..give me you e-mail address so I can send you a diagram...Bob
