Followup To BOB,IS THAT GASKET THE LITTLE O-RING UNDER THE AIR FILTER ELEMENT OR ?.NEED HELP WITH LOCATING.THANKS.
Question -
THIS LAWN MOWER WAS PURCHASED FROM WALMART IN THE SPRING OF 2002.IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR REPAIR THE SAME SUMMER.I DON'T HAVE DETAILS OF THAT SERVICE BUT THE MOWER RAN FINE ALL THAT SUMMER.I HAVE A MODEL 22516X92C 4.0HP B&S QUATTRO LAWN MOWER.I RAN THE GAS TANK EMPTY LAST FALL '03.THIS SPRING WHEN I STARTED THE MOWER IT RUNS BUT IT IS IDLING UP AND DOWN BY ITSELF.IS THERE AN ADJUSTMENT FOR THE CARB OR ?.

Howard, you should replace the gasket between the carb and tank (rubber diaphragm) and it will run much better....Bob

Howard, the gasket I'm refering to is BETWEEN the gastank and carb body, not under the air cleaner. You can go to the Briggs and Stratton web site and there will be a listing for parts list.Type in your model and type and the parts list should show you the part location...Bob
