Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 28N707 1116-E1 Briggs Engine ,White tractor, time engines, solenoid

Question
Never had a problem starting my tractor before by choking and putting throttle to full position now it seems to flood when I do that and will only start when throttle is all the way down in the Idle position, Plus sometimes now when I shut it off it will backfire, Thanks Tom

Answer
Most of the time engines need a closed/idle throttle when using the choke...you may have got lucky for a while.

As for the backfire, and could affect starting, look on the bottom of the carburetor for a solenoid.  It will have a wire attached to it if you have a solenoid.

Let me know what you find.
