Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower seems to be bogging down ?, brick wall, metal cap

Question
Hi Cletus, I have a question, I was cutting my mother-in-laws grass today and unfortunatly I hit a water meter. Now of course it did not damage to the solid metal cap but afterwards my mower seemed to be bogging down considerably. It is a push mower and I do not know if I did something to the mower engine, which I am hoping I did not but I have a bad feeling I might have. It just appears that it is not running well at all now. I am not sure what to look at to get it fixed can you give me any ideas ?  The blade seems fine and it appears that it is spinning fine and it not crooked but something is up with it. Please HELP.. thanks, Kevin

Answer
Sure thing.  Why don't you get in your vehicle that you own and run it right into a brick wall.  Does it run good now?  Well I would think not.  Your lawn mower is the same way.  You are asking me what to do well quit hitting water meters!  I would check the specks on the girder valve for any inconsistencies.  Actually I wouldn't do any of that.  My best suggestion is to, I don't know, quit running over water meters.  Hey look at the gigantic water meter I am just drawn to it like a bug to a light.  Oh thats not good.  I hit the water meter.  Now my lawn mower doesn't work.  Beter ask the experts what to do about this one.  Well the expert has spoken.  What did you expect.
