Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs and stratton engine, briggs and stratton, universal solvent

Question
I was mowing my lawn on a ride on mower and I hit a rock, there was no damage to the engine. I turned the engine off and lifted the mower up to see if I had damaged the blade. I think by doing this I got oil in the chamber and know the engine want start. Any ideas on how to clean it?

Answer
Why I sure do.  The best way to clean something is with water.  It is the universal solvent.  It pretty much will break down anything especially oil.  If you see oil bubbles floating in the water don't fret.  That is just the water working its magic.  See what the water is doing is surrounding the oil and pushing it out.  It is almost exactly like what a white blood cell does when a harmful bacteria enters the blood system.  Oh we are talking about engines.  Let me get back on track.  The heart is made up of 4 chambers.  The left chamber sometimes fails to close in which case you would need to have an artificial valve installed.  That will probably fix your problem.
