Snowmobile Repair: Snowblower, lean mixture, filter glass

I have a 5hp snowblower that is self perpelled. It was running good, until one day i got it out to use. it would start and run only in the choke position.

  There are a few things that can cause this, but generally can be narrowed down to a lean mixture. To get it running properly, try installing a new spark plug. Next, remove the carburetor and dissasemble it. Clean the inlet needle and seat throughly, as well as the jets. Use good carb cleaner. If the machine has a fuel filter, glass bowl, or in tank screen, clean or replace them. After doing all of this, it should run fine. Hope this helps. I am not sure if you realized I am a snowmobile expert as in Arctic Cat and Ski Doo, so I am not a expert in snowblowers and small engines.
