Put a new track on a 89 snoscoot and the drive gear rides upon some of the knobs of the track

  Sounds like the track tension may not be tight enough. Make sure it's tensioned properly. Also, makse sure the track is the correct one for your model/yeat sled. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck with the sled! --Arcticatman
