last year i sank my  polaris sled in houghton lake over night, got it out the next morning  ,pulled the carbbs  got new plugs  and ran fine for about 1hr then stalled. i brought it back home and changed the chaincase lube ,blew it out again and started then rode down the street and staled. i let it sit throught the summer starting 1-2 times a week it starts but runs bad-do you think it dried out and just needs the carbs adjusted. its an 96 polaris indy super sport 440

Answer
Hello John,

Sounds like your sleds in trouble! I would suggest removing the heads and looking at the pistons and cylinders, most probably there is a hole in one of the pistons, your best be would be new pistons and rings. Taking the carbs out first, and cleaning and adjusting is a good idea too. Generally sinking a sled means there is internal damage, though. If you need any help or suggestions let me know! www.denniskirk.com or www.mfgsupply.com are good places to get replacements parts. Good luck with the sled! Arcticatman
