Snowmobile Repair: Intermittent bad idle, snowy weather, snowy day

Question
I own a Yamaha 88' snoscoot.  I have adjusted the carb to idle and start beautifully in the garage.  Take it out in damp or in snowy weather and after a couple laps, it wont stay idling.  Let it sit and come back later... start it and it idles fine. Run it again for several laps and it wont idle.  On a clear sunny day (after the storm), I can start it and it will run fine even after several laps.  The air intake is clean and unclogged. Help?

Answer
There could be a number of problems and it's going to be hard for me to diagnose. It could be your jettings to rich and after a while its loading up. On a clear and sunny day the air is thinner and helps your machine run bettter but on a damp snowy day the air is thicker and harder for the machine to suck in good air. Check this and get back with me if you are still having problems.
