Steering Column Repair: Chevy 3 on tree column compatibility

Howdy Doug,

I have 1976 Chevy C10 w/manual trans 3 on tree.  Shifter parts on column are broken.  Struggling to find replacement shifter/parts.

Is a 1979 Chevy C10 steering column with 3 on the tree compatible with a 1976 (at least for shifter)?

You had actually written our company (steeringcolumnservices) about this truck as well.  I wish I could direct you where to go, but new parts for this are impossible to find.  I can only suggest you try finding a used column that still has some life.

For used parts...Try this site.  You may be able to find what you need.

It's the website all the salvage yards use when they say "Hang on--let me see if my other yard has it".  Actually it's an online database of all the salvage yards in America.  You can search by part, location or price

I did the search and found about 25 columns in the country for sale
