Steering Column Repair: 82 chevy van, chevy van, tilt column

Question
My blinker end snapped off and I have about six manuels on GMS but none of them are in detail on this unit so I took off the steering wheel and the blinker assembly only to find nothing . I could't fegure out how to remove the blinker lever. I noticed a plastic box under the lever and tried to remove it. I was sure that the this was how to remove the lever. after prying this cover off now I have a reel problem the dimmer control arm and I for sure cant figure out how to put that back together. Do you have an answer for me or tel me if anyone has a piture of this. Thank You

Answer
Hi Dave:
I am going to assume that you have a tilt column on your van.  We have uploaded some videos on our website to give you first hand viewing of how to remove, disassemble, and reassemble the parts you are talking about.  Pay attention to the video marked "Transfer the switches..."

http://www.stolenandrecovered.com/video/

The parts you are referring to are the cruise lever (turn signal arm) and the wiper switch.  The arm rotates as it is installed or removed which is why you cannot just pop it out.  You will need to remove the wiper switch from the upper cover and then attempt to rotate the broken piece while pushing it out.
I hope these videos help you
Good luck
