Steering Column Repair: Power Steering Fluid Leah: Plymouth Grand Voyager 96, plymouth grand voyager, steady drip

Question
Steady drip of steering fluid coming from above steering gear.
Hoses appear not to be the source of the fluid loss. The drip seems
to come from the cylindrical unit immediately above the steering
gear. What could be causing this fluid loss and how is the entire
unit checked/replaced?
Thanks Jay for your help.

Answer
Hello David,
The steering rack assembly for this particular model was notorious for leakage due to age. You will need to replace the rack unit with a rebuilt one from your local parts store. You shouldn't have much problem finding one.
Hope that helps.
Have a great day!
